Join the Austin Stewards of the Wild and Colorado River Land Trust for a clay shoot at a gorgeous, protected property in the Hill Country about an ~1 hour west of Austin on Saturday, May 10th.

The shoot will be followed by lunch next to Cypress Creek, a critical habitat for native wildlife. This event is for both beginners and those accustomed to using a shotgun.

We will meet at the ranch gate at 10 AM., have a shotgun shooting 101 and refresher course for everyone. We will then shoot clays for a couple of hours while expert shooters assist those who need or want advice. Around 12 PM we will have lunch under the trees next to Cypress Creek. After lunch, you may continue to shoot, grab a drink and network, or depart. Everyone will depart at 2 PM.

Please bring your own shotgun, shells, hearing and eye protection. If you do not have a shotgun or access to one, there will likely be some that can be borrowed, although this is not guaranteed.

Stewards of the Wild, Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation’s conservation leadership program, equips emerging leaders aged 21 to 45 with opportunities to actively participate in the stewardship of Texas’ wild things and wild places by providing education, networking, and outdoor experiences.
